Friday Deal Tip- Amusement Park Season Passes
I hate to leave people out of the loop on deals I find out about, but I also know I can't always remember to personally tell all my friends. So, I have decided to post deals on Fridays. (I have linked to most of the pages. Just click on the name to go to their website.)
This Friday's deal is time-sensitive, so it takes priority.
"Six Flags has 18 parks across the United States, Mexico and Canada with world-class coasters, family rides for all ages, up-close animal encounters and thrilling water parks." - from their website
They are currently offering VERY good deals on their season passes. They do vary by park. Six Flags America (Baltimore/DC) has one of the best deals at $61.99/person. It also includes lots of extra benefits right now, including free admission and parking to all the other Six Flags parks. There is another Six Flags in NJ and that one has a safari area that looks similar to the safari ride at Animal Kingdom in FL. I rode my first roller coaster at Six Flags Great America outside Chicago. Their special Mardi Gras season pass prices end March 4th!
What you may not realize is that many of these amusement parks open the end of March and go through the end of the year.
Cedar Fair Amusement Parks are another group that includes Carowinds (Charlotte, NC), Cedar Point (Sandusky, OH), and more. These hold special memories for me because we went to Cedar Point on our honeymoon and when we were married without children we lived near Carowinds and had season passes that made for some cheap Friday night dates. Unfortunately, they are not offering special discounts right now.
Hersheypark (Hershey, PA) is another popular amusement park in our area. Their season pass is $170. Their special right now is $39.95 for a one day summer pass vs the normal price of $66.95. Dutch Wonderland has season passes, including a combo one with Hersheypark.
Comparatively, Six Flags is definitely offering the best deal.
For my Wisconsin friends, you have Noah's Ark in Wisconsin Dells that offers season passes. It is "America's largest waterpark".
Busch Gardens Williamsburg is currently offering a special on their membership plan as well as a premium plan that includes their other parks like Sesame Place, SeaWorld, etc. SeaWorld Orlando is also offering a great deal right now: $99.99/person unlimited admission for the rest of 2018.
Even DisneyWorld has several annual passes to choose from for out-of-state and FL residents and a special 3 or 4 day pass for FL residents. If Disney is your thing, these are definitely worth checking out.
My list is not complete without including the amusement park I grew up going to in Wisconsin. Bay Beach Amusement Park in Green Bay still charges only 25¢ per ticket and most rides are only 1 or 2 tickets. There are a few rides that are 3 or 4 tickets. It is a great park to take the family to and you don't have to break the bank. If you live in the Green Bay area or know someone who does, make sure they check out Bay Beach!
Depending on where you live and your travel plans for 2018, a season pass or membership plan may be a good deal for you or your family. Just as we have found museum memberships to be a great way to save money and see and do more things, this is a good option if you like rides, water parks, and amusement park adventures.
Have you purchased a season pass to any of these amusement parks? Did you feel it was worth it? Do you know of other amusement park deals? Leave a comment below. Share this with your friends.
